Johanne Thériault Paulin
Vice-chair
A lawyer and agent with the Public Prosecution Service of Canada, Johanne Thériault was reappointed vice-chair of the Workers’ Compensation Appeals Tribunal in December 2020 for a three-year term. She currently lives in Bathurst.
Johanne earned a Bachelor of Laws degree from the Université de Moncton, and a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in information and communications and a minor in sociology from the same university. She began working in private practice in 2009, but her passion for litigation led her to a position as a criminal Crown prosecutor in the Office of the Attorney General of New Brunswick, which she held from 2012 to 2018.
Johanne is a member of the Mandatory Continuing Professional Development Committee of the Law Society of New Brunswick, and she chairs the Professional Development Committee of the Canadian Bar Association, New Brunswick Branch. She has also served three terms on the Law Society of New Brunswick Council as the elected representative for Gloucester County, and has represented the Law Society of New Brunswick on the New Brunswick Criminal Justice Efficiencies Committee.
