Bernard T. LeBlanc

Vice-chair

A graduate of Acadia University (BA Hons.) and the University of New Brunswick Law School.

Admitted to the NB Law Society in February 1987.

Practiced Civil litigation in areas of disability, insurance, family and employment law from 1987 to 2007 and insurance and disability law from 2018 to present, appearing before various levels of Courts, Boards, Tribunals and Panels.

Served as part-time Chair of the Mental Health Tribunals for Southeastern New Brunswick and as Independent Chairperson for Corrections Canada.

From mid 2007 to 2018 was appointed as a full-time Appeal member with the Veterans Review and Appeal Board presiding and deciding disability appeals from Veterans, Active military Forces and RCMP members.

Served as president, vice-president, director and actively involved in numerous community organizations including The Boys and Girls Club of Moncton and New Brunswick, Moncton Mental Health Association, Moncton Youth Residences, NB Special Olympics and NB Association for Community Living.
